Reading this I noticed another way of putting it…
...This is like cutting up a starfish: each fragment is going to grow into another starfish. People who view themselves as oppressed by corporations — even if the same people are doing something they know is illegal — are going to view themselves as resisting that oppression. So they are going to fight back with a million small services.
You see? It ain’t time to worry, yet! The one thing which does annoy me is the fact that, after being in use for so long, forums in general haven’t evolved in the slightest (unlike the software medium they use); we’re still anonymous individuals sitting in front of keyboards, & if anything did happen...we’re stranded. Could be that’s why we’re allowed to continue. What’s the alternative, though?
